Ruby in colour, Tamboerskloof Syrah 2015 has a complex nose of garrigue, (the combined fynbos aromas of rosemary, lemon verbena, lavender and marjoram that perfume the air at Kleinood) ripe cherry, fine spices, cassis, currant and ripe strawberry. The well-balanced palate shows dark plum, Christmas cake, Turkish delight and a fine hint of cinnamon. It finishes with soft elegant, chalky tannins. Decant 30 minutes prior to serving.
RECOMMENDED FOOD PAIRING: This is a versatile wine, that pairs well with red meats, ostrich fillet, venison, spicy Asian foods and tomato-based dishes.
BLEND: Shiraz 94 %, Mourvèdre 5 %, Viognier 1 %.
